Notes for a Guided Drawing

Guided Drawing is a drawing that is easily imagined by listening to a short text that is full of imagery and ideas.

How To:

  1. Gather your drawing materials together:

We recommend pre-registering with SAF  and then picking up your Art Kits well in advance from Bookworm Goa .

Address : House No. 127 (Old Saraswati Vidyalaya), Mala, Fountainhas, Panaji, Goa 403001

    Contact Rhea/Pranita at +919823222665

For the Art Kit you can choose from using Oil Pastels & Soft pastels or Tempera Paints. We will put in some practice exercises for you to try out and go over the materials during the session – so don’t worry !

  2. Once you have your materials. Log in on the date assigned for the Guided Drawing Virtual session.

  3. During the ZOOM , we will request you to initially sit or lie comfortably with your eyes closed to listen in silence to TWO readings of the text.

  4. When both readings are finished you can begin drawing and you can do this either:
    a) By sharing a large drawing ( if you have company!) b) Individual drawings. c) A mix of both.

  5. We will draw for up to 30 minutes but you can leave the session at any time. Though it would be nice to have you right till the end and share your art with us !

  6. To conclude we will have an onscreen gallery viewing of everyone’s drawings.

  7.  One rule only – HAVE FUN! 😊

If you are unable to pick up your Art kits from Bookworm please have the following materials ready :

Paper: Paper is preferred but alternatives can include: cardboard box, wallpaper, brown or patterned wrapping paper or newspaper. Do not use “office” paper (A4) unless you are joining it together. Optimum sizes are as follows: Imperial paper (559 x 762mm) or half Imperial (457 x 609mm)

Colouring: Colouring pencils, oil and wax crayons, soft chalk pastels, chalks, watercolour crayons, felt tip pens, gel pens.
